Berlin Footnote is a bilingual audio-guide and podcast project where walkable urban history meets counter-culture, archival oddities, and experimental narration. Biography

From Denver to Berlin, from cutting rooms to classrooms.

Daniel Scheimberg's editing work moves between politically charged cinema, streaming comedy, large-scale Babelsberg productions, and idiosyncratic independent features: from Christian Frosch's Von jetzt an kein zurück, a tense West German coming-of-age and reformatory drama, to Kai Wiesinger's Amazon series Der Lack ist ab, where domestic midlife friction is cut into compact comic episodes. His early features include Lovesongs for Scumbags, an offbeat, darkly comic indie film, and Lunik, a hotel tragicomedy about utopian dropouts and entrepreneurial collision. Before and between those projects, assistant editing work on Babelsberg productions such as The Reader, Pandorum, and Hanna sharpened his command of larger international productions.

He also teaches post-production and editing at SRH Berlin University of Applied Sciences, with recent courses expanding into generative AI for image and video.
